    Injuries

Injuries can be a frustrating part of life and can reduce the quality of life, sometimes to a point where it can be unbearable. Whether you are an athlete who loves your sport, or an active person throughout the day, injuries can take your enjoyment from the activity entirely.

Want Radical Recovery From Pain FASTER?

We want you to get back to the activities you love.

We understand that the muscles have two very important jobs, one being the correct movement of bones and the stability of the articulating surfaces of the joint.

Unfortunately, as we age wear and tear occurs on our bodies. Aging is an ongoing process; our muscles usually do an amazing job in constantly moving bone while maintaining stability.

But what if you don’t have all these positions available to use?

This is common, usually due to trauma or overuse. As a result, other muscles have to compensate for the deficit, and this compensation over time usually leads to pain and possible injury. The body is incredible at hiding its problems and when a joint(s) is constantly being thrashed by irregular movement patterns, there is no chance for healing.

This is where we come in as Muscle System Specialists to restore and maintain the solutions your body needs so you can enjoy life without any pain or restrictions.

Deeper Science about Pain and the Muscle System Specialist Process

When we assess and interpret observed motor actions (the way you move under specific conditions), we take into consideration that action’s direction and amplitude of movement.

Why is this so important for us?

The human nervous system is constructed, and encodes information, spatiotemporally. Stimulus-to-sensation perception requires time for chemical and electrical information to travel within along neurons and throughout the sensorium.

“Examination of the major sensory or motor pathways reveals a highly and tightly organized nervous system. In particular, at each of many levels, there are fairly exact maps of the world within the brain. For example, sensory axons within its ascending pathway are arranged in a very orderly manner, with fibers from specific anatomic locations (e.g., digits, hand, forearm, etc.) preserving very specific topographical locations within the dorsal column, thalamus, internal capsule, and sensory cortex.”

    - Journal of Surgical Orthopaedic Advance Volume 17, No. 3, Fall, 2008 1161

Motor actions occur over time and have definitive start and end intervals. This provides the network (nervous system) with the ability to exert control over its movement and position maintenance. The fundamental qualities of an individual’s sense of spatial-temporal orientation are found in the nervous system knowing direction and amplitude. (Linear and angular velocity, along with tilting).
