We do not.
We do accept HSA cards if you have that option through your health care provider.
Please note that we are not interested in participating in any third party reimbursement programs because we believe there are inherent limitations in service that come with those relationships.
Session notes are proprietary to Muscle Activation of Tampa and cannot be provided to file with insurance for reimbursement.
No, but it is preferred.
We like to notify your physicians of your participation. We don’t want to be surprised and we know that they don’t either. If you have a diagnosed disease then we would prefer a physician’s clearance.
*It is NOT a break test or a manual muscle test used as an indication of a body’s response to a chemical substance, nor a change in its energetic field, nor a positional post relaxation technique.
I put this here because I do get this question a lot.
I’ve worked with a gigantic range of different people over the years and learned no matter who walks in the door, or needs assistance getting through the door, everyone comes in with their own uniqueness of what they can or cannot do.
The process is the same for gathering the data, sometimes changes need to be made to fit the person but that rarely happens.
Whether your retired, an active athlete, in a wheelchair, walking with a cane, have a stressful career, had a stroke etc., we can meet your needs.
That depends. You could feel a difference after your muscle system assessment, or it could take several sessions to experience change. Your unique response is unpredictable. The only predictions we can make are where to start after we’ve reviewed your Reports & Findings.
If you have a history of lots of injuries and/or surgeries, this might take more time. Or it may not. I’ve seen it go both ways.
This process will be a "Study of One” and that is you and you alone. We cannot learn anything about you by working on someone else (remember, those are protocols). Just as there are no two finger prints that are the same, there are no two bodies that are the same. Every single human body is uniquely made and therefore must be treated as such.
Either way, please be patient (this is tough, as I’m a very impatient person). It took a while to get here, so you must hang in there and work with us. We rely on you to provide direct and honest feedback to your Certified Muscle System Specialist in order to guide the next steps in our work together.
Yes, absolutely! As a Certified Muscle System Specialist, we have put in a tremendous amount of time both in studying and treating the effects of head injury, stroke and neuromuscular conditions.
There may have been some major disruptions in the ability to control body orientation and generate muscle tension in certain scenarios. The body is an expert at hiding its problems and the effects of such head trauma can have a major impact on the muscle system for many many years.
As for neurological conditions, again it’s a yes. We have to find how your neurological condition affects your muscle system.
For instance, I have a client that has (I got permission to mention this) myasthenia grevis and we found that measuring her resistance fatigue helped her live a better life with no pain. If she were to follow the typical protocols everyone else uses for anyone with her complaint (neck pain), that means the protocol would not factor in her myasthenia grevis.
The work we will do will improve the health of the joints and give the inflammation a chance to subside.
Arthritic conditions and joint instability can be managed when muscles are prepared to function properly which is our job as a Certified Muscle System Specialist. As long as the structures are intact, all that is needed is to create proper connections between the brain and the muscles.
That’s 100% up to you…and your doctor. If you would like to work with us, great. We’ll get you squared away. Let’s go!
I would prefer you get cleared by your doctor (whomever is performing your surgery) to come see me.
Consistency.
Consistency is king (Discipline is really king but consistency is needed to be disciplined). It is better to be consistent with appointments than to cram them in and then stop.
If you cannot follow the plans we’ve recommended due to time needed or cost, We strongly recommend consistency over any sort of intense boost. You need to do what you can handle consistently and we will just keep chipping away on the progress to get you better.
